Visit tips

Use a different entrance from Himeji Castle

After the castle, go to Koko-en's entrance to the west. The garden entrance is a gate within enclosing walls, separate from the castle's paid-area entrance. The roughly 15-minute Himeji Station–garden estimate does not describe a walk starting at the castle.
