Opening hours

The shrine welcomes worshippers year-round. It opens at 06:00 from the spring equinox and 06:30 from the fall equinox. Closing time is 18:30 in December–March, 19:30 in June–August, and 19:00 in April–May and September–November. On-site museums are open 09:00–16:30, with last entry at 16:00.

How to get to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine

From Hakata, take the subway to Tenjin and walk to Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station. Before boarding, check whether your train goes directly to Dazaifu or requires a transfer at Futsukaichi. From Dazaifu Station, walk along the shrine approach.
