Admission
Individual adult admission has been ¥1,000 since April 2026; elementary and junior high school students ¥400; preschool children free. Cash only.

Oya History Museum is open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. April–November, last admission 4:30 p.m.; 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. December–March, last admission 4 p.m.

How to get to Oya History Museum · 大谷資料館
From stop 6 at JR Utsunomiya’s west exit, take a bus to Oya/Tateiwa. Reach Shiryokan Iriguchi after about 30 minutes on the bus, then walk about five minutes to the museum. Return from the station-bound side of Shiryokan Iriguchi on a bus to Utsunomiya Station.

Visit tips
Stairs and mobility assistance
Wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers cannot be used for regular admission. Paid golf-cart assistance requires advance booking on eligible weekdays; same-day requests are not accepted. Holiday periods and group use may limit availability, so contact the facility.
Winter Tuesday and year-end closures
Closed every Tuesday December–March, or the following day when Tuesday is a public holiday. Also closed December 26–January 3. Temporary closures or schedule changes are possible.
