Visitor information
Admission
Gifu Park is free to visit. Ropeway fares for adults aged 12+ or junior high school age and above are JPY 1,300 return or JPY 800 one way. Children aged four–under 12 pay JPY 650 return or JPY 400 one way. Previous castle admission is excluded during closure.
Opening hours
First uphill service is 9 am. On weekdays, the last uphill service is listed as 5:30 pm and the last downhill service as 6 pm. On weekends, these are listed as 8 pm and 8:30 pm respectively. Seasonal and evening operations may differ; check your date's timetable.

How to get to Gifu Park and Mt. Kinka Ropeway
From JR Gifu stands 12/13, take a bus via Nagara Bridge stopping at Gifu Park/Gifu Castle, such as N43. Choose by your date's timetable and stop signs. Walk about three minutes from the stop to the park. Ropeway riding takes about four minutes, excluding queues. Return by JR Gifu-bound bus from the park stop.

Before you visit
Walking remains after the ropeway
The summit has slopes and stairs. Wear comfortable shoes for walks after alighting.
Castle keep and museum closure
As checked on 8 October 2026, the keep has been closed since 19 May and museum since 1 April. Keep closure is listed until around 31 October 2027, with Gifu City planning November reopening. Check reopening notices for interiors. Ropeway and viewpoint operations are separate.

Ropeway inspection suspensions
Inspection suspensions are scheduled for 1–28 December 2026 and 7 January–16 February 2027. Recheck dates if planning to ride during these periods.
