What to see at Chusonji
Konjikido and Sankozo together
Standard admission covers Konjikido, Sankozo, sutra repository and former protective hall. Buildings and collections differ in scope from the special hidden-Buddha combined ticket.
How to get to Chusonji
Take seasonal circular Run Run from Hiraizumi Station to Chusonji, then climb Tsukimizaka. Adult JPY 200 per ride, two JPY 400 versus day pass JPY 550. Check dates/days and returns in operator timetables. Other days use regular Ichinoseki–Hiraizumi Line (一関平泉線), with different fares/tickets. The parking-area-1-to-main-hall 850 m reference is not stop-to-Konjikido walking.
Before you visit
The approach is uphill
Climb Tsukimizaka after alighting, allowing descent after viewing. Ask the facility about access if walking is difficult. The listed roughly 850 m from parking area 1 to main hall is not the stop-to-Konjikido distance.
Questions about Chusonji
Do I still walk uphill after a bus to Chusonji?
Yes. Climb Tsukimizaka from the stop and allow descent after Konjikido/displays before your return bus.
