Individual admission is JPY 300 standard and JPY 150 for primary and junior high school students. Special and themed exhibitions may have separate prices.

An afternoon visit
Last admission is 4 pm, with closing at 4.30 pm. If visiting after your hotel, allow travel time between the hotel and station.
Regular closures and exhibition changes
The museum closes on Wednesdays, but opens when Wednesday is a public holiday. It also closes on the final Monday each month, or the next day if that Monday is a holiday, and from 28 December to 4 January. Exhibition changes may cause temporary closures, so check your chosen exhibition's dates.

Do I need another train from Yumoto to the history museum?
No. Walk about five minutes from Hakone-Yumoto Station. It does not require the further mountain railway journey used for the Open-Air Museum.
