Arriving in the Afternoon
Admission ends at 4:00 p.m. and the museum closes at 4:30 p.m. If you visit after stopping at your hotel, allow for travel between the station and hotel when planning your arrival.
Regular Closures and Exhibition Changes
The museum closes Wednesdays, except when Wednesday is a public holiday. It also closes on the last Monday of each month, or the following day if that Monday is a holiday. The museum closes December 28–January 4. Temporary closures for exhibition changes also occur, so check the dates of the exhibition you want to see.

Do I need another train from Yumoto to reach the history museum?
No. It is about a 5-minute walk from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Unlike the Open-Air Museum, it does not require a mountain railway ride farther up.
