Exhibition admission is JPY 600 for ages 16 and over and JPY 300 for ages 6–15. Groups of eight or more and disability discounts have separate conditions. Shop-only visits do not require exhibition admission.
Opening hours
From March to October, the museum is open from 9 am to 5:30 pm, with entry until 5 pm. From November to February, it is open from 9:30 am to 5 pm, with entry until 4:30 pm. Admissions close 30 minutes before closing.

About 50 main gemstone types are displayed as rough-stone, cut-stone and jewellery sets. Compare forms before and after processing. A large 1.8 m quartz crystal stands towards the rear of the exhibition.

How to get to Yamanashi Gem Museum
From Kawaguchiko Station stand 1, take the Red Line towards the Natural Living Center to stop 6, Yamanashi Gem Museum/Kawaguchiko. Follow the facility map and signs to the exhibition entrance and allow walking time after alighting. Choose outward and station-bound return services separately in your date's timetable, reading departure and arrival times in the same service column. The regular adult single fare was JPY 180 when checked on 8 October 2026; recheck the fare table for your date.

Before you visit
Visiting on Wednesday
The museum is closed on Wednesdays, with exceptions for public holidays and Golden Week, and no closures listed in July–August. Check opening for your specific Wednesday.
