Give Kodokan, Kairakuen, Hitachi Seaside Park and Oarai Aquarium a day each. To include Fukuroda Falls in Daigo, combine Kodokan and Kairakuen on day one, then give park, waterfall and aquarium a day each. Stay three nights in Mito with either plan.

Frequently asked questions

Can I combine park, waterfall and aquarium in one day?

This course gives each a separate day. Park uses Katsuta and a route bus, waterfall uses Suigun Line and walking, aquarium uses Oarai and a sightseeing bus. Directions and return services differ. The waterfall plan combines Kodokan and Kairakuen on day one to leave a day for the falls.

Can I use the TOKYO Wide Pass for a Fukuroda Falls outing from Mito?

JR Suigun Line Mito–Fukuroda is within coverage. The station walk, JPY 260 Takimoto return bus and JPY 500 viewing-facility admission are separate. This course calculates return JR at the JPY 2,080 ordinary-ticket reference, so buying a JPY 16,000 adult pass for this section alone is not advantageous. If already holding a pass, check the waterfall date is within its three consecutive valid days.
