Four nights' accommodation, meals and travel to Tokyo Station cost extra. The museum's permanent exhibition is free; special exhibitions are excluded. What does the museum show that differs from Kodokan?

Kodokan is a historic educational facility. The museum's 2026 permanent exhibitions introduce the Mito Tokugawa family, Showa-era city history, food utensils and horse-shaped folk toys. The museum itinerary visits both exhibition sections on day two. They are scheduled for 13 June 2026 to late May 2027; check closures and changeovers. These contents do not remain indefinitely. Can one JR TOKYO Wide Pass cover Tokyo–Mito return travel over five days?

Day-one departure and day-five return do not both fit within one three-consecutive-day pass. Even if using it for the middle three days, calculate the Tokyo–Mito limited expresses at either end separately. Park buses, Oarai's Kashima Rinkai Railway and sightseeing bus, the waterfall return bus and facility admission are excluded. Both five-day itineraries use ordinary-ticket calculations without a pass.
