Stay four nights in Ise to give the shrines, aquarium and coast a day each without changing accommodation. Visit Geku, Naiku, Toba Aquarium and Futami separately, then stay near Iseshi Station on the last day. To start at the ninja museum and finish in Toba, move between one night in Uenoshi, two in Ise and one in Toba.

Stay four nights near Iseshi Station. Give Geku, Naiku, the aquarium and Futami a day each, and stay nearby on departure day.

Day 1: start with Geku

Walk from Iseshi Station to visit Geku, then have a meal and stay near the station. The route begins on arrival at Iseshi Station; airport travel is excluded from the cost.

  2. Geku entrance → Accommodation near the station

    Walk approximately 10 minutes one way from the entrance to the main sanctuary, visit the shrine and retrace your route towards the station. Allow extra time for the shrine visit and return walk. Have a meal near the station and check in. If you arrive after shrine visits close, swap this visit with Futami on day 4, checking coastal weather.

October Geku visits finish at 17:00. Leave time for worship and the walk back to the station.

Day 2: return trip to Naiku

  1. Iseshi-ekimae, bay 10 → Naiku-mae stop

    Take a bus to Naiku-mae from bay 10 at Iseshi-ekimae. The adult return fare is ¥1,040; look up times separately for your travel date.

    Cross Uji Bridge, walk to the main sanctuary and visit the shrine, then have lunch in Oharaimachi on your way back.

  3. Naiku-mae, bay 2 → Iseshi Station: the same accommodation

    From bay 2 at Naiku-mae, take a bus towards Iseshi Station and return to the same Ise accommodation.

Search separately for the bus to Naiku-mae and the bus back to Iseshi Station using your actual visit date. You return to the same Ise accommodation after the shrine visit and meal.

Day 3: Toba Aquarium

    Follow the aquarium signs from exit 1 for approximately 10 minutes on foot. Allow extra time for queues at the ticket gates and ticket office.

  4. Toba Aquarium → Accommodation near the station

    After a meal in Toba, return to Toba Station and take a train towards Iseshi. Check your return train for the visit date in advance. Add time for your meal and the walk to the station when deciding when to finish at the aquarium.

Choose a return train towards Iseshi, allowing time to buy your aquarium ticket before the usual last admission at 16:00.

Day 4: return trip to the Futami coast

  1. Iseshi Station → Futami shrine and Meoto Iwa

    At JR Iseshi Station, take a Sangu Line train towards Toba that stops at Futaminoura. Get off at Futaminoura Station and walk approximately 15 minutes to see the shrine and Meoto Iwa. Choose a return service towards Iseshi for your visit date.

  2. Futami shrine and Meoto Iwa → Futami coast

    Ordinary shrine visits are free; check the item counter and prayer services separately. In strong wind or heavy rain, shorten the coastal visit or make this a rest day.

  3. Futami coast → Accommodation near the station

    Return to Futaminoura Station, take a train towards Iseshi and go back to your accommodation. JR tickets are separate from this route's partial total. In JR Central's planner, enter Futaminoura, Iseshi and your travel date to check the return service and fare.

Choose both Futaminoura train journeys first. If you want shrine items or a prayer service, check the counter's hours. Shorten the coastal visit in strong wind or rain.

Day 5: shops along the shrine approach, then depart

  1. Iseshi Station → Geku shrine approach shopping street

    If you have time before departure, browse open shops along the Geku approach and near the station, and have a meal. This day does not include another visit inside the shrine grounds. Shops have different hours; leave shopping out if your departure is early.

    After your meal or shopping, retrace your route to Iseshi Station. Leave time to reach the platform for your booked departure.

Allow time for a meal or shopping at open businesses and the return to Iseshi Station's platform. If you depart early, finish your itinerary at the station.

One night in Iga, then stays in Ise and Toba

Stay one night near Uenoshi Station, two near Iseshi Station and one near Toba Station. This route suits travellers who want to start at the ninja museum and finish in Toba.

Day 1: Iga's ninja museum

See the mechanisms in the ninja house and the tool exhibits, then stay near Uenoshi Station. The route begins on arrival at Iga-Kambe Station; airport travel is excluded from the cost.

    Watch the demonstration of hidden doors and mechanisms in the ninja house, then examine ninja tools in the exhibition halls. Admission is ¥1,000 for high school students and older. If the show date and session fit, you can add the live demonstration show for ¥600. Complete admission reception before 15:30 on weekdays or 16:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

    Retrace your route to Uenoshi Station, have a meal and stay nearby. The official approximately 10-minute walk describes access in one direction. On days without a show, visit the house and exhibits only.

Museum reception closes at 15:30 on weekdays and 16:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Check show dates and sessions separately.

Day 2: move to Ise and visit Geku

    Take an Iga Railway train from Uenoshi towards Iga-Kambe and get off at Iga-Kambe Station.

  2. Iga-Kambe Station → Iseshi Station

    Transfer to Kintetsu at Iga-Kambe and travel to Iseshi Station. The Osaka and Yamada lines connect at Ise-Nakagawa, but whether you need to change trains depends on the service. Enter Uenoshi, Iseshi and your travel date in the official planner to check transfers, stops and fares. A limited express requires a reserved-seat limited express ticket in addition to the basic ticket.

  3. Iseshi Station JR-side exit → Geku and Iseshi Station

    If you have enough time before the seasonal closing time for shrine visits, follow the Geku approach outside the JR-side exit to the entrance and main sanctuary. Return towards the station along the same approach. Skip Geku if you arrive late. Decide using your arrival service and the seasonal closing time on your travel date.

Day 3: Naiku and the same accommodation

    After a meal in Oharaimachi, return towards Iseshi Station from bay 2 at Naiku-mae. Stay at your Ise accommodation again tonight. The adult return bus fare is ¥1,040. Check times and service changes separately for your travel date.

Day 4: Toba Aquarium and an overnight stay

Move from Ise to Toba, visit the aquarium and stay one night in Toba.

Check your train to Toba and the aquarium's ticket cutoff for your visit date. After the exhibits, have dinner in Toba and stay at your new accommodation. You do not return to Ise today.

Day 5: a short coastal walk, then depart from Toba

    If the weather is suitable, visit the free Kamome Promenade, approximately five minutes from Toba Station.

No. It visits Toba Aquarium on day 4, stays one night in Toba and offers an optional Kamome Promenade walk on day 5. Pearl Island is excluded from the basic itinerary and ¥4,840 partial total. Can one JR Ise–Toba Free Ticket cover the whole five-day trip?

Its validity is two days, so it cannot cover all five days. The ticket departing from Nagoya City costs ¥5,300 per adult, with designated JR coverage and conditions for exchanging the bus voucher. Do not assume it includes the Kintetsu and Iga Railway journeys as planned. Choose the two dates you will use it and your travel from the origin, then compare ordinary tickets.
