Four nights, five days: stay in Okayama or move to Kurashiki?
Stay four nights in Okayama to visit the Kurashiki streets and Ohara Museum of Art on separate days from one hotel. To spend two days in Kurashiki, split your stay into two nights in Okayama and two in Kurashiki. On the third day, after changing hotels, reach Kojima Station in time for that month's sunset bus departure. If you are running late, leave Washuzan out that day.

Frequently asked questions
Is the JR fare for moving hotels from Okayama to Kurashiki included in the route cost?

It also includes JPY 1,680 for the sunset trip's return JR travel via Kurashiki–Okayama–Kojima and JPY 540 for the bus. Does departing from Okayama Station after the Kurashiki folkcraft museum cost extra in JR fares?
The route with two nights in Okayama followed by two in Kurashiki ends at Kurashiki Station after the folkcraft museum. If you depart from Okayama Station, add the adult one-way JR fare of JPY 330, bringing the checked subtotal to JPY 5,620. The museum visit starts no earlier than 10:00, so allow enough time for the visit, walks, JR journey and departure preparations before your actual train.
