Which Yamagata attractions should I choose?

Choose Kajo Park for castle moat and stone-wall walks, or Bunshokan for former Western-style building decoration. Climb Yamadera’s steps for a temple and views, or ride Zao Ropeway for mountain scenery. Kaminoyama Castle’s local history and Kamo Aquarium’s jellyfish exhibits are outside Yamagata city; allow separate time for return travel.
