See the whale shark and manta rays in Churaumi’s Kuroshio Sea tank. View it through the large front window and look up at fish from the Aqua Room. The aquarium is within Ocean Expo Park in northern Motobu on the main island.

Ordinary admission costs JPY 2,180 for adults, JPY 1,440 for high school pupils and JPY 710 for primary and junior high school pupils. Preschool children under six enter free; school years follow Japan’s April calendar. Tropical Dream Center and paid park vehicles cost extra. Aquarium admission is not charged throughout the entire park.
Opening hours and closed days
The aquarium usually opens from 08:30 to 18:30, with last admission at 17:30. Official guidance lists no scheduled closure through 31 March 2027. Check your date’s notices for temporary closures or changes in hours.

See the large tank with a whale shark and manta rays through the front window. The Aqua Room lets you look up at fish, offering a different view of the same Kuroshio Sea tank.
How to get to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium
Board northbound Yanbaru Express at Prefectural Office North Entrance and alight at Kinen Koen Mae. Walk about ten minutes to the aquarium. Airport-starting fares differ from those starting at the Prefectural Office.

Before you visit
Choose the post-visit bus first
For Naha return buses, choose the return before allocating viewing time. Allow the post-visit walk to Kinen Koen Mae. Check both services in your date’s timetable.

Separate aquarium and botanical garden tickets
Tropical Dream Center is within the same park but excluded from ordinary aquarium tickets. For both, allow separate admission costs and viewing time.
