Admission

Individual admission to the viewing tunnel and decks costs JPY 500 for adults and JPY 300 for primary and junior high school pupils. Adult rates apply to visitors aged 15 and over excluding junior high school pupils. Rates apply from 1 July 2025 and include both decks and the lift. Follow official conditions for groups and exemptions.

Opening hours and closed days

The facility is open year-round. It opens from 08:00 to 18:00 in May–October, from 08:00 to 17:00 in November and from 09:00 to 17:00 in December–April. Official guidance does not list last entry separately; contact the facility if arriving late. Follow temporary notices for your date.

How to get to Fukuroda Falls

Walk about 40 minutes from Fukuroda Station, or bus to Takimoto followed by ten minutes walking. The guide walks outward and buses back. Enter the tunnel, explore the decks and return from Takimoto stop 1 on a Fukuroda Station-bound bus, JPY 260. The second deck uses the interior lift.

Station-to-waterfall walking time

Walk about 40 minutes from Fukuroda Station, or take a bus to Takimoto and walk another ten. Allow entrance access after leaving trains/buses.

Falls access from Fukuroda Station and Takimoto

Return buses and Mito trains

Take a Fukuroda Station-bound bus from Takimoto, then Mito-bound Suigun. Check actual-date connections; delays may mean a missed service, so check the next too. Mito–Fukuroda JPY 1,040 one-way was an 8 October 2026 Ekinet reference. The guide stays in Mito after the falls day.
