Free and paid areas differ. From 1 April to 23 November, Honmaru and northern areas cost JPY 320 for adults or JPY 100 for children; they are listed as free from 24 November to 31 March. From mid-April to 23 November, botanical garden admission costs JPY 320 for adults or JPY 100 for children. Combined tickets for Honmaru and the north, the botanical garden and Fujita Memorial Garden cost JPY 520 for adults or JPY 160 for children. Check official daily operations for works and events.
Opening hours and closed days
Free areas are listed open 24 hours. Paid areas normally open from 09:00 to 17:00 from 1 April to 23 November, or from 07:00 to 21:00 during the cherry blossom festival. Honmaru/northern areas also list 24 November–31 March closure; check accessible winter areas in management notices.

See castle scenery along gates/moats. Allow leisurely park time beyond the station-to-park walk.
How to get to Hirosaki Park
Walk towards Dotemachi to Otemon, about 30 minutes from the station. Hotel departure and park walks need separate time.
Before you visit
Keep suspension and works areas
Keep interiors have been suspended since 24 November 2025 for the time being. Southern Honmaru sections have restrictions/temporary-stair diversions until around 31 March 2027. Hitsujisaru turret surroundings are prohibited. Follow management notices and on-site diversions.
