The park has free and paid areas. Honmaru and the northern area are listed at ¥320 for adults and ¥100 for children April 1–November 23, and free November 24–March 31. The botanical garden costs ¥320 for adults and ¥100 for children from mid-April through November 23. A combined ticket for Honmaru and the northern area, the botanical garden, and Fujita Memorial Garden costs ¥520 for adults and ¥160 for children. Check park information for changes caused by construction or events.

Opening hours

Free areas are listed as open 24 hours. Standard paid-area hours are 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. April 1–November 23, extended to 7:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. during the cherry blossom festival. Honmaru and the northern area are also listed as closed November 24–March 31; check park management notices for areas accessible in winter.

How to get to Hirosaki Park

Walk from Hirosaki Station toward Dotemachi and continue to the park's Otemon gate. The station-to-park walk is about 30 minutes. Calculate travel from your hotel and walks inside the park separately.

Keep closure and construction areas

Hirosaki Castle's keep interior has been closed since November 24, 2025, until further notice. Access to part of southern Honmaru is restricted until around March 31, 2027, with a temporary-stair detour. The area around Hitsujisaru Yagura is also off-limits. Follow park management notices and detour signs during your walk.
