Main tower admission is JPY 1,200 for adults and JPY 600 for university and high school students; junior high school students and younger enter free. Student prices and free admission require a student card or proof of age. Overseas students should check the official guidance for accepted evidence such as ISIC cards.

The tower opens from 09:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:30. It closes on 28 December–1 January. On busy days, ticket queues may close before 17:30.

How to get to Osaka Castle Main Tower

Take the Osaka Metro Chuo Line to Tanimachi 4-chome. Leave through Exit 9 and walk through Otemon Gate towards the main tower. From Morinomiya, use Exit 1 or 3-B and follow the park signs. The official FAQ gives a station-to-tower walk of about 15–20 minutes. For a relatively level route, consider Tanimachi 4-chome via Otemon Gate.

Before you visit

Allow separate time for the station walk and exhibitions

Official guidance suggests 50–60 minutes for the exhibitions, or about 90 minutes for a closer look. The station walk and ticket and entry queues are extra, so leave more time if you also want to explore the park.
