Admission
Admission costs JPY 1,200 for adults and JPY 600 for university and high school students. Junior high students and younger enter free. Student prices and free entry require student ID or age evidence. Overseas students should check accepted proof such as ISIC in official guidance.
Opening hours
The castle museum opens from 09:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:30. It closes from 28 December to 1 January. On busy days, the ticket queue may close before 17:30.

How to get to Osaka Castle Museum
Take Osaka Metro’s Chuo line to Tanimachi 4-chome. Use exit 9 and walk through Otemon Gate to the tower. From Morinomiya, use exit 1 or 3-B and follow park signs. The official FAQ gives about 15–20 minutes on foot from the station. For a relatively level route, consider Tanimachi 4-chome via Otemon Gate.

Separate station walks from museum time
Official guidance allows 50–60 minutes for a standard visit or about 90 minutes for more detail. Station walks and ticket or admission queues are extra. Add time for a park walk.
After a late arrival, check admission first
Enter the tower before your park walk on a museum day. Standard last admission is 17:30, but the ticket queue may close earlier when busy.
