Individual standard admission costs JPY 2,500 for adults, JPY 2,200 for visitors aged 65 and above, JPY 1,200 for primary and junior high school pupils and JPY 700 for preschool children aged 3 and above. Transport to the aquarium costs extra.
Opening hours and closed days
Usually open 09:30–17:30, or 10:00–17:00 from December to February. Last admission is one hour before closing: 16:30 on regular days and 16:00 from December to February.

Aquarium tanks and sea lion and dolphin shows
Take time to watch the marine animals in the tanks. Sea lion and dolphin shows can be combined with the exhibits, but they are suspended during the show-pool works described below.

How to get to Marine World Uminonakamichi
Take a JR train from Hakata to Kashii, then change to the Kashii Line for Uminonakamichi. The Fukuoka subway one-day pass does not cover this JR route.
Before you visit
Shows suspended from 12 January to 9 April 2027
Show-pool works suspend sea lion and dolphin shows and close the seating area from 12 January to 9 April 2027. This period includes contingency days for the works, so check the reopening notice before travelling for the shows. The aquarium itself is also closed on 18–21 January 2027.
Allow time for transfers as well as your visit
From Hakata, you need to change trains and walk from Uminonakamichi Station to the aquarium. Allow for transfer waiting and walking as well as the train rides. A departure-day visit also requires time afterwards to collect your bags at the hotel and reach the international terminal.

No. The pass does not cover the JR trains from Hakata via Kashii to Uminonakamichi. Buy separate JR tickets.
