Individual standard admission is JPY 2,500 for adults, JPY 2,200 for visitors ages 65 and older, JPY 1,200 for elementary and junior high school students, and JPY 700 for preschool children ages 3 and older. Transportation to the aquarium costs extra.
Opening hours
Regular hours are 09:30–17:30; December–February hours are 10:00–17:00. Last entry is one hour before closing: 16:30 on regular days and 16:00 in December–February.

Take time to watch the animals in the tanks, then attend a sea lion or dolphin show. Shows are suspended during the show-pool construction period described below.
How to get to Marine World Uminonakamichi
From Hakata Station, take a JR train to Kashii Station. Transfer to the Kashii Line and get off at Uminonakamichi Station. These JR journeys are not covered by the Fukuoka subway one-day pass.

Shows suspended January 12–April 9, 2027
Show-pool construction suspends sea lion and dolphin shows and closes the seating area from January 12 to April 9, 2027. This period includes contingency days, so check the reopening notice if the shows are your main reason for visiting. The aquarium is also closed January 18–21, 2027.
Allow time for transfers and the aquarium visit
Travel from Hakata requires a train transfer and a walk from Uminonakamichi Station to the aquarium. Add waiting and walking time to the time spent on the train. If visiting on your departure day, also allow time to collect your bags at your accommodations and reach the international terminal.

On selected Golden Week and summer dates in 2026, the aquarium opens 09:30–21:00, with last entry at 20:00. The official operating calendar lists those dates.
