Entry to the building is free. Individual admission to the standard exhibition on the 5th floor is JPY 510 for adults, JPY 310 for senior high school pupils and JPY 200 for primary and junior high school pupils. The planetarium and special exhibitions have separate charges. Preschool children accompanied by a guardian can enter the standard exhibition and regular Dome Theatre programmes free of charge.

The building opens 09:30–21:30. The standard exhibition on the 5th floor opens 09:30–18:00, with last admission at 17:30.

The standard exhibition is on the 5th floor. For a planetarium visit, choose a programme at the Dome Theatre on the 6th floor. You need separate tickets for the standard exhibition and planetarium.
How to get to Fukuoka City Science Museum
Take the subway Nanakuma Line to Ropponmatsu Station, then walk to the museum. Ask about exhibition tickets at the information and ticket counter on the 3rd floor.
Before you visit
Check exhibition closing times for an evening visit
Arrive before 17:30 for last admission to the standard exhibition. The building remains open until 21:30, but the exhibition closes at 18:00.
Tuesday and New Year closures
The museum closes on Tuesdays and 28 December–1 January. If Tuesday is a public holiday, it opens and closes on the next weekday instead. It opens daily during the spring, Golden Week, summer and winter holidays, except over New Year. Check the official closure calendar for your visit.
