Standard admission costs JPY 350, or JPY 150 for university students. Senior high school pupils and younger and visitors aged 65+ enter free. Check official proof, documents and conditions before claiming free or reduced admission.
Opening hours and closed days
The garden opens from 09:00 to 18:00 from 16 March to 15 September and from 09:00 to 17:00 from 16 September to 15 March. Entry ends 30 minutes before closing. It closes on 29–31 December.

How to get to Shukkeien Garden
Take line 2/6 to Hatchobori, then line 9 towards Hakushima to Shukkeien-mae and walk to the gate. Return line 9 towards Hatchobori, then line 2/6 towards Hiroshima. Meeting transfer conditions gives an adult fare of JPY 240 one way or JPY 480 return. With cash, collect a transfer ticket at first alighting; it is valid that day. With IC, tap each boarding/alighting and change within 60 minutes after first alighting. The opposite-direction return after sightseeing needs a new fare.
