Admission
General admission costs JPY 350, or JPY 150 for university students. Senior high school students and younger, and visitors aged 65 and over, enter free. If you qualify for free or reduced admission, check the conditions and required documents, such as official proof, before entering.
Opening hours
The garden opens 09:00–18:00 from 16 March to 15 September and 09:00–17:00 from 16 September to 15 March. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. It closes 29–31 December.

How to get to Shukkeien Garden
From Hiroshima Station, take a Line 2 or 6 tram to Hatchobori. Change to Line 9 towards Hakushima, get off at Shukkeien-mae and walk to the garden entrance. Return on Line 9 towards Hatchobori, then change to Line 2 or 6 towards Hiroshima Station. Following the transfer rules, the adult fare is JPY 240 one way or JPY 480 return. When paying cash, collect a transfer ticket as you leave the first tram; it is valid that day. With a transport IC card, tap on and off each tram and change within 60 minutes of leaving the first tram. The opposite-direction journey after sightseeing requires a new fare.

Can I visit Shukkeien and the art museum together?
Yes. Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum is next to the garden. A combined ticket covers the garden and collection exhibition; special exhibitions cost extra. Check the museum's closing days and exhibition changeover dates before planning both.
