Consider Kencho-mae for meals and shopping at the south end of Kokusai Street and buses to the north. When choosing a hotel, check its walking route to the prefectural office's north-entrance bus stop. The station and bus stop are different places, and not every nearby hotel is beside the stop. These courses start and return at a Kencho-mae-area hotel. Another hotel location changes the walk to stations and bus stops.

Near Makishi Station · 牧志駅

Consider Makishi for evenings around the market and eastern Kokusai Street. Official guidance gives about nine minutes on foot from the station to the market. For northern trips, allow separate travel time to the prefectural office's north-entrance bus stop. Hotels in Motobu · 本部

Consider a Motobu night for repeated or longer aquarium and Ocean Expo Park visits. The five-day Naha-based course A makes one northern trip; the adult northern bus round trip costs ¥3,800. Facility admission and Naha rail fares are separate. Motobu lodging changes your starting point and bus segments, so compare hotel and transport costs again.

You can visit the aquarium on day two, stay in Motobu, then see the botanical garden on day three before returning to Naha. A final Naha night reduces long-distance travel on departure day. Choose the northbound journey from Kencho Kitaguchi to your hotel and day-three Naha return before booking.

Hotel Mahaina Wellness Resort Okinawa · ホテルマハイナ ウェルネスリゾートオキナワ lists a free shuttle toward the aquarium. Get off at the entrance to its affiliated Royal View Hotel Churaumi · ロイヤルビューホテル美ら海, then walk about five minutes to the aquarium. The shuttle does not reach the aquarium entrance; confirm both directions' times at reception. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM and checkout is 11:00 AM. Ask the hotel about your package conditions and large-luggage storage before check-in or after checkout. If arranging hotels and connections is difficult, choose a Naha-based course below.

The hotel has no airport transfer. To go directly from the north to the airport on departure day, check your date's Yanbaru Express Bus or Okinawa Airport Shuttle timetable. Distinguish your hotel boarding stop and domestic/international terminal drop-offs. Allow road congestion and choose an arrival well before the airline's check-in and baggage cutoff.

Some southbound Airport Shuttle services terminate at Naha Bus Terminal without entering the airport. Check that your service goes to the airport. This is a different operator from Yanbaru Express Bus, with separate reservation methods and fares.

Shuri and Omoromachi

Choose Shurijo Castle Park · 首里城公園 for castle grounds and Ryukyu history, or Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum · 沖縄県立博物館・美術館 for nature and history exhibits or artworks. Naha Airport to your Naha hotel

At Naha Airport · 那覇空港, follow the terminal's second-floor connecting walkway to Naha Airport Station and take Yui Rail. For the basic itineraries' hotels near Kenchomae Station, get off at Kenchomae. After an international arrival, allow separate time for immigration, baggage claim, and reaching the station inside the terminal; these are excluded from the train ride.

Kenchomae hotel to the northern aquarium

Kenchomae Station and Kencho Kitaguchi bus stop are different places. Walk from your hotel to the stop, board a northbound Yanbaru Express Bus, and get off at Kinen Koen Mae before walking to the aquarium entrance. For the return, locate the southbound boarding point separately and select a service to Kencho Kitaguchi.

Naha to the southern cave

The vehicle routes assume you have arranged a rental car or a vehicle with a driver for a round trip from your hotel to Okinawa World. For a bus alternative, take route 54 (Maekawa) or 83 (Gyokusendo) from Naha Bus Terminal to Gyokusendo Mae and walk about 2 minutes. Check both directions' timetables and segment fares for your visit date separately from the vehicle-route cost.

A day at the northern aquarium

Adult aquarium admission of ¥2,180 plus the ¥3,800 Kencho Kitaguchi–Kinen Koen Mae YKB round trip totals ¥5,980. These two items exclude the Naha Airport–city train, meals, and lodging. Each itinerary has a separate subtotal adding the city travel and attractions it actually includes.

Switching to southern activities or a northern stay

Southern vehicle costs are excluded from attraction admission. Staying in the north also changes the departure point compared with a Naha round-trip route. Compare after arranging a vehicle quote, travel between the hotel and bus stop, and a return service to Naha or the airport.

Compare Yui Rail fares and passes

Use Yui Rail for central Naha and Shuri; it does not reach Churaumi Aquarium. Some trains in the Tedako-Uranishi direction terminate at Makishi, so check the destination display when traveling to Shuri or Omoromachi. Ordinary one-way fares from Kenchomae are ¥320 to Shuri and ¥250 to Omoromachi. A Shuri round trip is ¥640, so you need not automatically buy the ¥1,000 adult 24-hour pass. Compare your other rides and eligible facility discounts. The 48-hour ticket costs ¥1,800 and is valid for 48 hours after purchase. These passes exclude northern Yanbaru Express Bus services and southern bus routes 54 and 83. They also do not replace aquarium or museum admission. Yanbaru Express Bus does not accept advance seat reservations, and a full bus may prevent boarding. Reaching the stop does not guarantee a seat on your chosen service. The operator has announced a problem with its bus-location page. A missing service on that page alone does not establish a cancellation; check operating notices and stop information.

Okinawa main-island food and restaurants

Okinawa soba is a noodle soup made with wheat noodles rather than buckwheat. Goya champuru is a bitter-melon stir-fry; if you enjoy its bitterness, consider it with rice. Compare restaurant locations in Naha and your other destinations in the main-island food guide.

Plan a market meal around individual businesses' hours and cooking last orders rather than the building's opening hours. On the aquarium day, lunch in the park followed by dinner in Naha after the return bus fits these routes. Leave Okinawa World's closed Nantoya restaurant out of your meal plans. If planning to eat at SANGO, ask the facility about that day's hours.

Arrange a round trip to the south

The southern visits in the four- and five-day B itineraries require a round-trip vehicle arranged in advance. Get a separate quote from your booking company. If no vehicle is available and you switch to buses, check routes 54 and 83 in the official access guide for both directions' times and segment fares on your travel date. If you cannot arrange a return service, leave out the southern visit and switch to a Naha city day.

Check the view before heading to Naha or the north

The regional camera list includes views around Naha Port and Ocean Expo Park as well as other islands such as Ishigaki and Miyakojima. For a main-island itinerary, start with cameras in the right location. The Ocean Expo Park observation-deck view differs from an aquarium interior view.
