Four days in Okinawa: spend a day in the north or south?
Visit Churaumi Aquarium and Shurijo Castle Park on separate days if marine life and Ryukyu castle grounds appeal to you. For a cave walk and crafts, spend a day at southern Okinawa World and add Naha's cultural attractions. The southern vehicle route requires a rental car or a vehicle with a driver booked for the round trip.
Choose an itinerary for 4 days, 3 nights
A · Aquarium and Shurijo on separate days
Give both the northern aquarium's large tank and the Ryukyu castle grounds enough time. Visit Churaumi Aquarium and Shurijo Castle Park on separate days so you do not combine the long journey north with a castle visit. Use the bus for the northern round trip and Yui Rail and walking in Naha.

- Agreed meeting location → Vehicle return location and Naha hotel
Meet your return vehicle at the agreed location and head back to Naha. Return a rental car at the location and time in your contract, then travel to your hotel. If your return arrangement fails, ask the ticket counter for a taxi dispatch center's phone number and check availability and the fare to Naha.
The tourism agency lists free parking for 400 vehicles, but spaces on your visit day are not guaranteed. Allow time to walk from the parking area to the ticket counter. Vehicle costs, fuel, tolls, activities, and meals are excluded from the subtotal below.
You can follow this southern visit without renting a car if you have booked a vehicle with a driver for both directions.
If you have neither a rental car nor a vehicle with a driver booked for the round trip, do not follow this vehicle-based route as written.
For a bus alternative, take route 54 (Maekawa) or 83 (Gyokusendo) from Naha Bus Terminal beside Asahibashi Station, get off at Gyokusendo Mae, and walk about 2 minutes to the facility. Before leaving, use the operator timetables linked from the facility's official access page to check both outbound and return services and the fare for your segment. Bus times and fares for your travel date are excluded from this vehicle-route subtotal.
If you cannot arrange the return journey, replace this day with meals and sightseeing on Kokusai Street and at the market in Naha. The attractions and cost will change.
Rain does not mean every show will run. The facility says performances may be canceled when a typhoon approaches or wind and rain are strong. Check vehicle service and facility operations; do not plan the trip if a typhoon stops transportation.

Frequently asked questions
Are rental-car or round-trip taxi costs included for Okinawa World?
No. The four- and five-day southern-route subtotals cover attraction admission and the listed Yui Rail segments. Add a rental-car or round-trip taxi quote from your booking company separately.
For a rental car, check the pickup location, return time, fuel, and tolls. For a taxi, arrange the ride back to Naha in advance too. Vacant taxis are not always waiting at the facility. If you need to request one there, the ticket counter can provide a dispatch center's phone number. The tourism agency's free-parking listing is separate from vehicle rental costs.
To use buses, check round-trip times and segment fares for your travel date in the facility's official access guide. If you have neither a vehicle nor a return bus arranged, replace this day with meals and walking on Kokusai Street and at the market in Naha. The attractions and cost change. Facility taxi information checked October 9, 2026; vehicle access and tourism agency parking information checked October 8, 2026.
