How to get to Wakayama Castle

From JR Wakayama Station's central exit, take a castle-bound Wakayama Bus service such as route 0 or 25. Get off at Wakayamajomae after about 10 minutes. Add the walk uphill to the keep after the bus. JR Wakayama and Nankai Wakayamashi are different stations.

Should I use Wakayama or Wakayamashi Station for the castle?

JR Wakayama and Nankai Wakayamashi are different stations. From JR Wakayama's central exit, take a castle-bound bus to Wakayamajomae. If arriving at Nankai Wakayamashi, check the castle route from that station.
