Admission

Individual admission costs JPY 420 for adults and JPY 210 for primary and junior high-school students and visitors aged 70+. Children below primary-school age enter free. For groups of 20+, admission costs JPY 320 for adults and JPY 160 for primary and junior high-school students. Follow official information for other group rates and exemptions.

Opening hours

Kodokan opens from 09:00 to 17:00 from 20 February to 30 September and from 09:00 to 16:30 from 1 October to 19 February. It is closed from 29 to 31 December. Hours may change during the plum festival.

How to get to Kodokan

Turn right from Mito Station’s gates for the North Exit, then follow the deck and Ichōzaka to Kodokan. With the main gate closed, use the side entrance on its right for reception. The official photo directions help locate the entrance.
