Admission

Individual admission costs JPY 420 for adults and JPY 210 for primary and junior high school pupils and visitors aged 70 and over. Preschool children enter free. For groups of 20 or more, adults pay JPY 320 and primary and junior high school pupils pay JPY 160. Follow official guidance for other group rates and exemptions.

Kodokan opens from 09:00 to 17:00 on 20 February–30 September, and from 09:00 to 16:30 on 1 October–19 February. It closes on 29–31 December; plum-festival hours may differ.

Turn right after Mito’s gates for the north exit. Follow the deck/Ichozaka towards Kodokan. The main gate is closed; enter the side gate on its right for reception. Official route photos help identify it.
