Day 1: central Chiba and Port Tower
From Narita Airport, take a JR service stopping at Chiba. From Haneda, travel via Tokyo Station and use the Sobu Line Rapid towards Chiba. Add your individual hotel journey if visiting it first.

From Narita, check that your JR service actually stops at Chiba. From Haneda, take Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho, JR to Tokyo Station, then Sobu Line Rapid towards Chiba. Immigration, baggage collection and transfers take extra time.

Take Chiba Urban Monorail towards Chiba-Minato and alight there. Chiba and Chiba-Minato are separate stations.

Walk about 12 minutes from the station to Port Tower. This excludes travel from Chiba Station and train waits.

Adult admission is JPY 420. Look over Chiba harbour and Tokyo Bay from the deck. Cloudy weather may obscure distant mountains or buildings.

After visiting, retrace your route to the station. If walking further nearby, first allow enough time for your return train and next journey.

Return on the monorail towards Chiba. Continue to your hotel using its actual location and directions.
Port Tower opens from 9 am to 9 pm from June to September. From October to May, it opens from 9 am to 7 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 8 pm on weekends and public holidays, with last admission 30 minutes before closing. Standard closures are the fourth Monday of even-numbered months and 28–31 December; check the official annual calendar for your date. Skip the deck during regular or temporary closures, including strong winds.
Day 2: Naritasan and Omotesando
Leave your Chiba hotel and move to Narita today. Add time for reaching your new accommodation before starting the temple visit.

Walk through Omotesando's shopping street to the main gate. Omotesando extends about 800 metres from the station area, with further walking from the gate to the main hall.

Follow the stairs and slopes through the grounds to the Great Main Hall. If you need to avoid stairs, first check lift locations on the official grounds map and their availability for your date.

After worshipping, explore around the main hall. Buildings and service counters have different hours; if arriving late, visit only the open areas. Separate activities such as prayer services and sutra copying are excluded.

Return down the same route to the main gate and Omotesando. For a meal, choose an eel restaurant or another business after checking its hours and queues. Temple hours do not apply to restaurants.

Follow Omotesando back towards the stations. Allow extra time beyond the walk if browsing shops or eating.
Hotels near Narita Station and the airport are in different locations. For Omotesando walks and a Sawara day trip, compare accommodation near the stations.
Day 3: Sawara exhibits and old streets
Make a day trip from Narita to Sawara. See maps and surveying materials at the memorial museum, then walk by the river and return to Narita.

Take a Narita Line service towards Sawara and Choshi that stops at Sawara. Distinguish it from airport-bound trains and check your return service towards Narita before leaving.

Walk about 15 minutes from the station to the museum. This visit combines the exhibition with an old-street walk.

Retrace the route to the station. Allow extra time for browsing streets and eating beyond the walk from the museum.

Return on a service stopping at Narita. Reach the station for your chosen departure; you could eat dinner near Narita Station after returning.

The museum closes Mondays, the next weekday if Monday is a public holiday, and 29 December–1 January. On closure days, skip the exhibition for an old-street walk or stay in Narita. In heavy rain, shorten the riverside walk and reach the station for your return train.
Day 4: calligraphy exhibition, then Narita Airport
Choose this if interested in the exhibition and you have plenty of time before an afternoon flight. Include the return walk and airport journey when deciding.

Walk about 25 minutes from the stations to the museum. This involves more return walking than the nearer Tourist Pavilion.

Retrace the roughly 25-minute walk towards the stations. If you left luggage at your hotel, collect it first, then go to JR or Keisei Narita for your airport train. Check luggage collection times with the hotel and allow time to reach it and return.

Take a train that stops at Narita Airport. JR trains towards Choshi are not airport services. Alight at Narita Airport Station for Terminal 1 or Airport Terminal 2 Station for Terminals 2 and 3.

For Terminal 3, use the connecting walkway or free shuttle from Terminal 2. Allow for train waits and terminal transfers to meet your airline's check-in arrival time. Airport guidance gives about five minutes' walking from the station to Terminal 1 or 2, and about 10 minutes to Terminal 3. These are not total journey times including trains, waits or departure procedures.

Disneyland, then one night in Narita
Choose this to rest near the station on arrival day and give Disneyland a full second day. Spend two nights in Maihama and one in Narita, followed by a temple visit and departure.
Day 1: meals and shopping in Maihama
Rest at IKSPIARI on arrival day without entering a park. If going to your accommodation first, add travel time from Maihama Station to your chosen hotel.

Take Tokyo Monorail to its terminus at Hamamatsucho. Add time to reach the platform from your terminal and wait for the train.
- Hamamatsucho Station → Tokyo Station
Change to the JR Yamanote Line towards Tokyo and alight at Tokyo Station. From Narita Airport, take a Narita Express service stopping here, then continue with the next step.
- Tokyo Station → Maihama Station
Walk to the JR Keiyo and Musashino line platforms and choose a train stopping at Maihama. Allow separate walking time between other JR platforms and the Keiyo Line platforms at Tokyo Station.

Visit IKSPIARI in front of the station for meals or shopping on a day without park entry.

Choose a restaurant or shop and take a break. The facility opens from 10 am to 10.30 pm, but individual businesses have their own hours. No Disney park ticket is needed; meals, shopping and films are paid separately.

After eating or shopping, leave by the exit facing the station. For your hotel, use its walking route or shuttle stop.

Day 2: a full day at Disneyland
With arrival travel finished, spend today on Disneyland's attractions and performances. Group nearby rides around the performances you want to see, including meals and rests.

Walk about five minutes from the station to Disneyland's entrance. Allow separate time to reach Maihama from your hotel and queue for admission.

Before choosing a performance or final attraction, check your journey back to the hotel. Head towards the exit in time for your transport and finish shopping within that time.

Retrace the entrance route to Maihama Station. For a Tokyo hotel, choose a JR service towards Tokyo; for a nearby hotel, follow its walking directions or use its shuttle.

Day 3: move to Narita for a temple visit
Leave your Maihama accommodation and travel to Narita. Allow time to walk between platforms at Tokyo Station and reach your new accommodation before the temple visit.
