Choose this route for Chiba harbour views plus Narita and Sawara’s temples and exhibitions. Spend only the first night in Chiba before moving to Narita. The final-day calligraphy exhibition is optional, when opening dates and flight times allow.

Day 1 · Central Chiba and Port Tower

From Narita Airport, take a JR service stopping at Chiba Station. From Haneda, you can travel via Tokyo Station and take a Chiba-bound Sobu Line rapid service. Add separate travel time if visiting your hotel first.

Port Tower opens 09:00–21:00 from June to September. From October to May, it opens 09:00–19:00 on weekdays and 09:00–20:00 on weekends and public holidays. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. Regular closures are generally the fourth Monday of even-numbered months and 28–31 December; check your date against the official annual closure calendar. Omit the observation deck on regular or temporary closure days, including strong winds.

Day 2 · Naritasan and Omotesando

Leave your Chiba hotel and move to Narita today. If going to your new hotel first, add that time before starting the temple visit.

    Visit the temple and explore around the main hall. Buildings and reception desks have different hours; on a late arrival, visit only the areas still open. Separate activities such as requested prayers and sutra copying are excluded.

    Retrace the grounds route down to Somon and return to Omotesando. For a meal, check hours and queues at your chosen restaurant, such as an eel specialist. Temple opening hours do not apply to restaurants.

Day 3 · Sawara exhibitions and old streets

Make a return day trip from Narita to Sawara. See maps and surveying material at the museum, then walk by the river before returning to Narita.

The museum closes on Mondays, the next weekday when Monday is a public holiday, and 29 December–1 January. On closure days, omit the exhibition and walk the old streets, or stay in Narita for the day. In heavy rain, shorten the riverside walk and reach the station for your return train.

Day 4 · Calligraphy exhibition, then Narita Airport

Choose this visit if calligraphy interests you and an afternoon flight leaves enough time. Include the return walk and airport transfer when deciding.

    Retrace the roughly 25-minute walk to the station area. If your hotel has stored your luggage, collect it there first, then go to JR Narita or Keisei Narita Station for the airport train. Check the hotel journey time and luggage collection hours with your booked accommodation.

Disneyland, then one night in Narita

Choose this route to rest by the station on arrival day, then give Disneyland the full second day. Spend two nights in Maihama and one in Narita, combining a temple visit with departure.

Rest at Ikspiari without entering a park on arrival day. If going to your hotel first, add travel time from Maihama Station to its booked location.

Yes. Spend two nights in Maihama for a full Disneyland day, then move to Narita the next day for Naritasan and Omotesando meals. This suits a town-station stay the night before Narita Airport departure. Change towards the Sobu Line at Tokyo Station, then to the Narita Line at Chiba, or choose a through service to Narita.
