Ordinary admission costs JPY 2,300 for adults, JPY 1,100 for primary and junior high school pupils and JPY 400 for preschool children aged three and above. Children under three enter free. Busy dates may require web tickets for a specific date and time. Night events use separate tickets.
Opening hours and closed days
Ordinary opening hours are 09:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:00. There is no regular weekday closure, but June and December maintenance closures apply. NIGHT AQUAWORLD runs on selected Saturdays and event dates from 17:45 to 20:00, with last entry at 19:00. Follow official notices for other closures and time changes.

How to get to Aquaworld Oarai Aquarium
Take Umimachi Line (うみまちライン) sightseeing route (観光ルート) from Oarai to Aquaworld Oarai (アクアワールド・大洗), about 20 minutes. Walk about one minute to the aquarium. Adult fare is JPY 200 per ride. Other loops do not stop here; check route before boarding.

2026 maintenance closures
Maintenance closures are 23–24 June and 7–11 December 2026. Check overlap with travel dates; visits are unavailable then. Busy dates may require date/time-specific admission.
Food court closure scheduled November 2026–March 2027
The food court is scheduled to close 1 November 2026–mid-March 2027. Check dining notices and plan meals separately instead of relying on food-court lunch then.
