Through 21 November 2026, ordinary paid-area admission costs JPY 400 for adults, JPY 300 for high school pupils and JPY 160 for primary and junior high school pupils. From the 23rd, these prices become JPY 1,000, JPY 760 and JPY 370 respectively. Children under six enter free. Seiden interiors from the 23rd require dated, timed reservation-inclusive tickets.
Opening hours and closed days
From April to November, free areas open from 08:00 to 19:30 and paid areas from 08:30 to 19:00, with last paid entry at 18:30. From December to March, free areas open from 08:00 to 18:30 and paid areas from 08:30 to 18:00, with last paid entry at 17:30. See below for closures and opening times on 22–23 November 2026.

How to get to Shurijo Castle Park
Take Yui Rail towards Tedako-Uranishi from Kencho-mae to Shuri. Walk about 15 minutes to Shureimon, allowing park walking separately. The operator recommends Seiden slots 40–50 minutes after expected Shuri arrival.

22 November 2026 closure and 23 November opening
All areas close on 22 November 2026. On the 23rd, castle free areas are scheduled to open at 11:15, paid areas/Seiden at noon. From the 23rd, Seiden interiors require a dated, timed reservation-inclusive ticket. Unreserved tickets exclude interiors; same-day reservations depend on availability.

Allow time between station arrival and viewing
Official Shuri-to-Shureimon walking guidance gives about 15 minutes, excluding park walking. For Seiden, the operator recommends reservations 40–50 minutes after expected station arrival.
