Ordinary shrine visits are free. The Hyuga mythology museum has separate admission; check its price in the official guide.
Opening hours
Shrine visiting hours are 6:00 a.m. to sunset. Closing time changes with the season, and the shrine-item counter has different hours.

How to get to Aoshima Shrine · 青島神社
Take the JR Nichinan Line from Miyazaki Station to Aoshima Station. The walk from the station across Yayoi Bridge to the shrine is about 800 m/10 minutes. Coastal paths include sand and slopes; if you need to avoid stairs or sandy paths, check usable routes in advance. If driving, use tourist parking in Aoshima because the shrine has no lot of its own. Follow your lot's information for its entrance, fee, and onward walk to the shrine.
Visit tips
Sandy paths and return trains
After exploring the coast, leave time to get off the island before sunset and walk back to the station. Check whether the return train runs to Miyazaki Station or terminates at Minami-Miyazaki. If sandy coastal paths or slopes are difficult for you, confirm usable routes before visiting.
