Admission

Admission is JPY 200 for university students and other adults, JPY 100 for senior high school students, and free for junior high school students and younger. Visitors aged 65 and over pay JPY 100 on presentation of official proof.

Opening hours

The museum opens 07:30–19:00 in March–July and September–November, 07:30–20:00 in August, and 07:30–18:00 in December–February. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. Extended opening until 21:00 applies on 5 and 6 August. The museum closes on 30 and 31 December; check the official calendar for temporary closures on your date.

How to get to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

From Hiroshima Station, take a Line 2 tram towards Miyajimaguchi or Line 6 towards Eba and get off at Genbaku Dome-mae. Walk through Peace Memorial Park to the museum's east entrance. Return on Line 2 or 6 towards Hiroshima Station from Genbaku Dome-mae. Standard one-way fares are JPY 240 for adults and JPY 120 for children.

Entry times that require advance booking

Advance online booking is required for entry from 07:30–08:30 and 17:30–18:30 in March–July and September–November; 07:30–08:30 and 16:30–17:30 in December–February; and 07:30–08:30 and 18:30–19:30 in August. Online purchase is recommended at other times, and sales may close early when busy. Check temporary closures and booking conditions for your date before buying.
