Frequently asked questions

Does this itinerary stay overnight on Mount Takao?

It is a day trip using Keio and the cable car to mid-mountain Mount Takao, then returning to the same Shinjuku hotel. It excludes local accommodation and a summit hike. Check the downhill cable car and Shinjuku-bound train for your travel date first.

Does Tokyo Wide Pass cover every journey in a 5-day trip?

It is valid for only three consecutive days from your chosen start date. Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway, Keio, the JR bus to Kusatsu and local Karuizawa buses are separate. Set regional travel dates and covered rail sections before comparing individual fares. The itinerary amounts are subtotals for selected admission and transport, not a whole-trip regional budget or a total after buying a pass.
