Admission
Collection exhibition admission is ¥510 for adults and ¥310 for college students. High school students and younger, and visitors age 65 or older, enter free; check required identification and conditions. The Shukkeien combined ticket costs ¥660 for adults and ¥350 for college students. Special exhibition fees vary.
Opening hours
Regular hours are 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with last admission at 4:30 p.m. Fridays extend to 8:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. depending on the exhibition and period. The museum closes Mondays, December 25–January 1, and exhibition change days. Public-holiday Mondays and some special exhibition periods have exceptions; check your date's closure calendar.

See works in the museum, then walk next door to Shukkeien. For both visits, choose the combined garden and collection exhibition ticket.
How to get to Hiroshima Prefectural Art Museum · 広島県立美術館
From Hiroshima Station, take route 2 or 6 to Hatchobori, then change to route 9 toward Hakushima and get off at Shukkeien-mae. The museum is nearby, with Shukkeien next door. Return on route 9 toward Hatchobori, then route 2 or 6 toward Hiroshima Station. With transfer conditions met, the adult fare is ¥240 one way or ¥480 round trip. With cash, collect a transfer ticket when leaving the first tram; it is valid that day. With a transit IC card, tap on and off each tram and transfer within 60 minutes of leaving the first. Returning in the opposite direction after visiting requires a new fare.

Extended Friday opening in 2026–2027
On Fridays from April 1 to September 23, 2026, the museum opens until 8:00 p.m., with last admission at 7:30 p.m. From September 24, 2026, to March 31, 2027, Friday opening ends at 7:00 p.m., with last admission at 6:30 p.m. Check exhibition and period-specific guidance for your date too.
