Where should you visit in Miyazaki: shrines, town streets or a gorge?
Visit Aoshima to cross a bridge over the sea to an island shrine, or Udo for a cave sanctuary. Walk old streets in Obi and see cedar shrine architecture at Miyazaki Jingu. Takachiho's rock walls and waterfalls suit a northern stay with separate walking and boat days. On driving days, check the walk from the car park you actually use to each attraction.
