Which Kumamoto attractions should you visit?

Consider Kumamoto Castle for the keep and restoration work, or Suizenji Jōjuen for rest beside the pond and small Mount Fuji model. Explore local history and nature at the city museum, or contemporary installations at Torichosuji's art museum. For grassland scenery or an onsen ryokan stay, allow a separate day and return transport for Aso or Kurokawa.
