Choose Osaka Castle Museum for history exhibits inside the tower, or Mozu Visitor Center for aerial footage and exhibits showing the tombs' full shape. For marine life, choose Kaiyukan; for city views, the Umeda Floating Garden. Compare Dotonbori or Namba Parks for walks near Namba, and Minoh Falls for a longer riverside walk. Check garden opening, path restrictions and return time. Admission and transport are separate.

Osaka Castle Museum
大阪城天守閣
Explore Toyotomi Hideyoshi and the castle's history through the tower exhibits. No tower ticket is needed just to walk around the exterior and moat. Other paid park areas are separate.
- AdmissionAdults ¥1,200; university and high school students ¥600; junior high school students and younger free, with evidence conditions. Overseas students should check official ISIC and age-document requirements.
- Hours09:00–18:00, entry until 17:30. Closed 28 December–1 January. The ticket queue may close earlier when busy.
- Getting thereFollow park signs to the tower from Chuo Line Tanimachi 4-chome Exit 9 or Morinomiya Exits 1/3-B. The official FAQ gives about 15–20 minutes from station to tower. The Otemon route from Tanimachi 4-chome is described as relatively flat. Exhibits usually take 50–60 minutes, or about 90 minutes for a closer look, excluding ticket and entry queues.
Dotonbori
道頓堀
See the signs and riverside around Ebisubashi, then continue to dinner. Allow different meal time for a quick takoyaki snack and a seated okonomiyaki meal. No paid facility ticket is included in the street walk. Food, performances and cruises cost extra.

- Getting thereFollow street-level signs towards Dotonbori and Ebisubashi from Namba. Tourism bureau access to the riverside is about 5 minutes from Midosuji Line Namba or 10 minutes from Nankai Namba and JR Namba. These times do not start at platforms or hotel doors and vary by exit.
Umeda Floating Garden Observatory
KUCHU TEIEN OBSERVATORY空中庭園展望台
Look over Osaka's cityscape and river from the Floating Garden Observatory. See the view indoors, then walk the rooftop Sky Walk if the day's operations allow. Admission is paid. Use the dedicated observatory entrance rather than office elevators.
- AdmissionAdults ¥2,000; ages 4–12 ¥500. Special opening periods have separate ticket conditions.
- Hours09:30–22:30, entry until 22:00. Distinguish special operating days from standard hours.
- Getting thereOfficial walks are about 7 minutes from JR Osaka or 9 minutes from Metro Umeda. After a Midosuji Line arrival, leave Umeda's North Gate towards Yodobashi Umeda, pass LINKS, walk between Grand Front's north and south buildings and cross the intersection to the short official underpass. Return to street level and cross to the Sky Building. The 9 minutes start at the station, excluding your hotel, platform access and ticket queues.

Kaiyukan
Osaka Aquarium KAIYUKAN海遊館
Choose Kaiyukan for time watching marine life in large tanks. Select the day's hours and ticket first, with meals before or after the visit. Re-entry ended on 15 June 2026.
- AdmissionPrices vary by date. The selection for 8 October 2026 is ages 16 and over ¥2,800; ages 7–15 ¥1,400; ages 3–6 ¥700; ages 2 and under free. On the same calendar, adult admission is ¥3,200 on 10 October and ¥3,500 on 11 and 12 October. Select your booking date first.
- Hours8 October 2026 hours are 10:30–20:00. Check the operating calendar again for other dates. Last admission is one hour before closing.
- Getting thereWalk from Chuo Line Osakako Exit 1 to Kaiyukan in about 5 minutes, following Ferris wheel and Tempozan Marketplace signs. Official school-group material gives 90–120 minutes for a circuit, excluding entry queues, meals and station travel. Leave more time for lingering at exhibits or breaks with children.

Minoh Falls
箕面大滝
Choose this for a long riverside walk instead of city shopping. The walk from Hankyu Minoh to the falls takes about 40–50 minutes; allow for the return and breaks. The path has no night lighting. No paid facility visit is included; transport and snacks cost extra.
- HoursThis is a daytime walk. Check park restrictions and weather notices before leaving.
- Getting thereTake Hankyu's Takarazuka Line from Osaka-umeda to Ishibashi handai-mae, then change to the Minoh Line. Enter the waterfall path from Minoh Station; do not confuse it with Minoh-kayano Station.

Emperor Nintoku's Tomb
Nintoku-tenno-ryo Kofun仁徳天皇陵古墳
The free Mozu visitor centre's aerial footage shows the large tomb's overall shape. Emperor Nintoku's tomb is viewed from outside; visitors do not enter it. For the exterior worship area, check the hours and travel-date restrictions below together. During restrictions, plan the centre's exhibits instead. Museums and gardens are separate options.
- Getting thereWalk about 10 minutes west from JR Hanwa Line Mozu Station to the tomb. Use a train from Tennoji that stops at Mozu.
- HoursGeneral worship hours at the exterior area are 08:30–17:00. Visits are normally possible year-round, but weekends, Japanese public holidays, 29 December–3 January, events or management work may restrict access. Check your date's notices; choose the centre exhibits alone during restrictions.

Mozu Kofungun Visitor Center

The full tomb shape is difficult to see from ground level. Start with these free exhibits for aerial footage and an introduction to the tomb group.
- AdmissionGeneral admission is free. Meals, bicycles, luggage storage and separate activities are excluded.
- Hours09:00–18:00, closed 29 December–3 January. These facility hours differ from access to the worship area.
- Getting thereThe centre is 350 m west of JR Hanwa Line Mozu Station, east of Emperor Nintoku's tomb worship area. Distinguish this from the approximately 10-minute station-to-tomb walk.

Namba Parks Garden
Parks Gardenパークスガーデン
Choose this for a departure-morning garden walk without leaving Namba. The rooftop garden spans floors 2–9 of Namba Parks. Start on lower floors and descend when your time is up.
- AdmissionIndependent garden visits are free. Paid guided tours, films, meals and shopping are excluded.
- HoursGarden 10:00–24:00, with closures following Namba Parks. Shops 11:00–21:00 and restaurants 11:00–22:00, with exceptions. Distinguish garden opening from shop opening.
- Getting thereNamba Parks connects to Nankai Namba. Official walks are about 7 minutes from Midosuji Line Namba, 10 minutes from Sennichimae Line Namba and 15 minutes from Yotsubashi Line Namba or JR Namba. Hotel-to-station travel and building-entrance-to-garden movement are additional.

Do you pay tower admission just to see Osaka Castle Park?
No tower ticket is required to view the exterior from the park. Adult admission to the tower exhibits is ¥1,200; other paid park facilities are separate.
